How can I add QB desktop to the exception list of Firewalls in order to avoid QuickBooks error 12007?
Follow the steps given here to add the QuickBooks desktop to the exception list in the Firewall and fix the QuickBooks desktop error 12007:
a) Hit the Start button and look for and open Windows Firewall.
b) Then go to Advanced Options and click right on Inbound Rules.
c) After that, click on Port and hit Next.
d) Make sure that you have chosen TCP here.
e) Now, use the correct ports for QB according to the version you have installed on the system.
Once done, hit Finish and repeat the process for the Outbound Rules also.

- QuickBooks Desktop 2019: 8019, XXXXX.
- QuickBooks Desktop 2018: 8019, 56728, 55378-55382.
- QuickBooks Desktop 2017: 8019, 56727, 55373-55377.
Once done, hit Finish and repeat the process for the Outbound Rules also.
